A common problem in our lab was interfacing circuits to 50-ohm test equipment. I made a simple buffer in an Altoids tin to solve this problem.
I am going through all my old files to find interesting circuits that I have built over the years. Some are good, some aren't, but they were all built out of necessity to solve a particular problem with limited resources. I will post them as I find them.
This was my attempt at making an active differential probe using high-speed op-amps. I wanted to see if it was possible to make an active probe with good performance for a fraction of the cost of commercial products.
