My name is Angsuman Roy and I am a recent graduate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a M.S. in Electrical Engineering. I have always had an interest in many scientific fields from an early age. I didn't know exactly which field I wanted to do until I started building speakers and audio amplifiers in high school. That's when I knew that I definitely wanted to be an electrical engineer. Once I started college I became interested primarily in analog and mixed-signal circuits and was eventually drawn to integrated circuit design. Unfortunately, UNLV did not offer many courses in IC design until Dr. R. Jacob Baker joined the faculty. Therefore, I decided to pursue a Master's degree under his guidance to learn more about the arcane world of IC design.

During my time as a graduate student at UNLV, I worked as a research assistant and also volunteered to teach two lab courses, EE220D (Electric Circuits I Discussion) and EE320L (Electronics I Laboratory). I designed and fabricated four ICs in this time period for both my thesis and for funded research work. I also served as the graduate student advisor to IEEE and the FSAE Electric team. I enjoyed working closely with undergraduate students and led a team of six undergraduate research assistants. At some point in the future I would like to continue teaching in order to encourage students to take a practical approach to electronic circuit design.
