Active Differential Probe
One day I was looking at the prices of active probes and wondered why they were so expensive. Surely most of the cost is due to the engineering time and development and not the actual parts. I tried to design my own active probe around an instrumentation amplifier topology. I thought this would be a fun project to introduce my EE320L class to surface mount soldering and the instrumentation amp topology. The document in the link below explains the design in more detail.
