This is a chip where I added perimeter gating to my APDs to try to reduce dark count rates. I have to test this chip more thoroughly to see if this method really works for my application. I first learned of perimeter gating from Muhammad Habib Ullah Habib (University of Tennessee, Knoxville) whom I met at the MWSCAS 2014 conference. The chip also has a transimpedance amplifier design by Matthew Meza . This TIA has low gain (2000 ohms) so that it has enough dynamic range for a silicon photomultiplier.
